We are delighted to finally have a restaurant. Uniquely ‘Dakins’ is a restaurant within Roxton Garden Centre – not a garden centre with a restaurant. Jeff and Lorraine own it, not a franchise. The menu has developed in response to our customers’ comments. We strive to bring the best the best in home – cooked food, using traditional recipes and using the finest produce. We are pleased to be included in Tastes of Bedfordshire, supporting local farmers for their meat, local bakers, vegetable growers and bee – keepers for our honey. Fair-trade is important to our customers and us and we serve delicious coffees and a selection of traditional and speciality teas as well as thirst quenching cold drinks.

Traditional English breakfast is served from 9am – 11.30am weekdays and Saturdays and from 10am – 11.30am on Sundays. Bacon and sausages are supplied by the famous Lingers Butchers in Bedford.

The lunch menu is changed everyday. Our cooks provide a choice of at least 3 different dishes and one is always a vegetarian special. Jacket potatoes, filled sandwiches, baguettes and paninis are always available. If you don’t see the filling you like just ask and if we have the ingredients available our staff will be only too to pleased to make one up for you. Special diets can also be provided on request.

Children are always welcome. For the under twelve’s we provide child size portions of all our menu options and also children’s favourites cooked specially to order. Children’s lunch boxes are always a popular option and there are lots of goodies to choose from for your individual box.

If you are a pudding lover then you must try one of our daily pudding specials. They are always home-made and include such favourites as sticky toffee, fruit crumbles, bread and butter pudding, queen of puddings, pineapple upside down, lemon sponge, spotted dick and treacle tart to name but a few.

Sunday is our traditional Roast Lunch day. There is always a choice of two meats and a vegetarian special. All served with seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.
