Relax in Dakins restaurant with a home cooked meal or coffee and cake, taking in the full view of the plant area from our fully glazed room or from our summer outdoor decking area.

We are pleased to be included in Tastes of Bedfordshire, supporting local farmers for their meat, local bakers, vegetable growers and bee- keepers for our honey. Fair-trade is important to our customers and us and we serve delicious coffees and a selection traditional and speciality teas as well as thirst quenching cold drinks.

Traditional English breakfast is served from 9am-11.30am weekdays and Saturdays and from 10am – 11.30am on Sundays. Bacon and sausages are supplied by the famous Measures Butchers in Brampton.

The lunch menu is changed everyday. Our cooks provide a choice of at least 3 different dishes and one is always a vegetarian special. Jacket potatoes, filled sandwiches, baguettes and paninis are always available. If you don’t see the filling you like just ask and if we have the ingredients available our staff will be only too pleased to make one up for you. Special diets can also be provided on request.

Children are always welcome. For the under twelve’s we provide child size portions of all our menu options and also children’s favourites cooked specially to order. Children’s lunch boxes are always a popular option and there are lots of goodies to choose from for your individual box.

If you are a pudding lover then you must try one of our daily pudding specials. They are always home-made and include such favourites as sticky toffee, fruit crumbles, bread and butter pudding, queen of puddings, pineapple upside down, lemon sponge, spotted dick and treacle tart to name but a few.

Sunday is our traditional Roast Lunch day. There is always a choice of two meats and a vegetarian special. All served with seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.

Dakins has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to meet friends, work colleagues or simply treat yourself. It is situated right in the heart of the centre looking out on to our superb plant area. A restaurant for all seasons, be inspired in the spring to take home a few of those plants you have just watched our staff display; lazily sip your coffee on the terrace in summer and watch the life of the centre drift by; savour the autumn colour changing moods and in winter sit warm and snug in the restaurant with a bowl of steaming homemade soup. Whatever the weather, whatever your mood there is always a warm welcome awaiting you here.
